Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient form of Chinese medicine that promotes the body’s natural healing processes. Chinese medicine views the body as a systematic whole that works to maintain a harmonious balance. When symptoms arise, it is the body’s way of telling us something is out of harmony. Acupuncture helps bring the body back to balance by regulating the nervous system, increasing blood flow, improving circulation and strengthening normal bodily functions.
It involves inserting thin, sterile needles into precise acupuncture points, chosen from your signs, symptoms and health patterns. Acupuncture needles are very different from the needles used to draw blood or give an injection, and don’t create the painful sensation of a shot. People generally find acupuncture relaxing and rejuvenating. All needles we use are sterile, single-use and disposed of properly.
Chinese herbal medicine
Chinese herbal medicine uses the power of plants and minerals to treat a range of internal conditions. Each herb acts on specific tissues in the body; combined into a customized formula, they work together to resolve imbalances and strengthen the functions of the internal organs. We use patent formulas in tablet or tincture form, which we’ve found effective, easy to follow and safe, sourced from a high-quality American distributor.
What can Chinese medicine treat?
Chinese medicine takes the whole body into perspective. Patients often come in with one complaint and find that, after a series of treatments, other symptoms they weren’t focusing on resolve too. We treat the whole person, not just the symptoms, so the body becomes stronger and more resilient.
